5/13—Memorial Day Rowing

The North Rockland Rowing Club trains inside at West Point during the month of March. When the weather turns warm, they take to the Hudson River from Admiral’s Cove Marina in Haverstraw, NY. These hardy souls haul their boats out, row until their arms are weary, and haul them back. Most days, they are out on the water by 6AM. That’s dedication! When the river is calm, it’s looks just like glass and the rowing is sublime. Taking photos from the “catch boat” was a bit challenging but Diana, my guide, was more than willing to help me get the best angles.
